Georges Franju has marked the history of cinema. Co-founder with Henri Langlois of the French cinematheque, executive secretary of the FIAF, general secretary of the Jean Cinematographic Scientific Institute of Jean Painlevé. But Franju is above all a great filmmaker and a discreet man.
Master of horror, fantastic and documentary, this film takes us on the history of his work. Between archival footage and interviews, this is a portrait of Franju and his work with the attempt to shed light on the paradox and mystery of this cineaste.
