As the number of priests drops sharply and their presence in certain territories is sometimes non-existent, the participation of the laity in the life of the Catholic Church has become essential to proclaim the Gospel. Some of them are entrusted by the bishop with more important responsibilities within the framework of a specific mission. Employees or volunteers, these lay missionaries dedicate several years of their life to the service of the sick, to solidarity, to youth, to families, to catechesis…

In this documentary, we share the daily life of several of these secular people on mission, from their training to their involvement in the field with very different populations, as well as their work in close collaboration with parish priests. They entrust us with their questions, their difficulties, their joys and tell us how, throughout their mission, their Faith never ceases to flourish.
