Memories of D-day
War sometimes offers soldiers a curious fate. Not fighting with weapons but becoming a soldier of images and propaganda on the battlefield is the subject of the first volume of this trilogy entitled “Grandeurs et servitudes de guerre”. Sixty-five years after the 6th of June 1944, the director Georges Guillot makes a film about the D-Day “seen” by these British soldiers of the image who today shed a different light on the Normandy landings.
