Mireille Borne is the French Consulate in Nepal. She will remain the last French Consulate in Nepal since her post will not be renewed after August 2014 for economic reasons. This documentary portrays an attractive, sensitive and devoted woman dedicated to her unknown profession of the 25,000 tourists who come to Nepal every year to seek adventure and change of scenery. Mireille Borne invites us into her daily life, allowing us to understand the complexity of the function of Consul in a country such as Nepal, one of the poorest in Asia and facing major immigration and childhood victim issues large adoption networks (paper orphans). She takes us to meet French nationals for whom she represents, but also and more broadly, the link with France and its values.
