The french publisher specialized in children’s books “L’École des loisirs” celebrates its 50th anniversary. This documentary takes us on a journey to discover the prestigious publishing house by evoking the work of authors and illustrators who have been writing children’s literature for over 50 years. Their work echoes the changes in our society and the place that children occupy in the family today.
Whether it is Claude Ponti, Grégoire Solotareff, Stéphanie Blake, Kimiko, Chen, Jeanne Ashbé, Dorothée de Montfreid, Xavier-Laurent Petit or even Kitty Crowther, these artists take us into their worlds made of imagined characters… Characters who have allowed children to grow in today’s world, to build their relationship with their parents…
These books gave educational tools to a whole generation of parents and offered dreams and imagination to their children.
