Everything started in April 1969, at the time of the café-theaters in France. The “Lucernaire” was created by Christian Le Guillochet and Luce Berthommé, two young actors, authors and directors, with the support of actor Laurent Terzieff. They imagined a unique place in Paris, open to all forms of artistic expression, where young talents could meet and work. 50 years later, the Lucernaire is working at full speed with all three theaters, cinemas, bookstore, gallery and drama school busy all year round. Through the history of this legendary place that has set the tone for so many others in the capital, we will dive into the theatrical world of the past 50 years.
