In women’s boxing, Valérie Hénin was a pioneer. In the 1990s, the young Nancy multiplied her victories until she became world champion in kick boxing, full contact and boxing. This formidable adversary of “fatal beauty”, trained by her own father, would above all become a fascinating media icon, a pavement of femininity thrown into a world hitherto reserved for men. But it’s all behind her.
Today, Valérie runs the Punch, the gym she has trained in all these years. Here, the practice of boxing is seen most often as a hobby, as a way of doing good.
