Diquis
For a thousand years, the people of Diquis, on the southern coast of Costa Rica, sculpted hundreds of large spheres – almost always perfectly shaped – for purposes that, to this day, remain unclear. They have also created thousands beautiful gold jewels, as well as the finest pieces of pottery of the Pre-Columbian era. Despite the mysterious and incredible legacy they left behind, this civilization remains in the shadows.
