Everyone knows that life has an end. Yet everyone imagines this end being far away… What is life like when this passage into the unknown approaches, when we have only a few days left to live? By spending time with people who are experiencing the end of their own story, I wanted to know how we deal with this time that remains to be lived. This film, suspended between two worlds, shows what everyone dreads to live, that no one wants to see, and yet which conceals the treasures of our humanity.

It is in Gardanne, within two extraordinary structures where the heart and body are cared for until the last breath, that I had the privilege of meeting Zoulikha, Gérard, Agathe, Romain, Thierry and many others, in close proximity to their intimacy, their humanity, in search of the meaning of life.
