New Caledonia in the 1950s could be compared to a new Eldorado. A country where everything had to be done, built, created, developed. A country at the end of the world and lost in the middle of the Pacific, but a country full of promise and wealth, which was just waiting to explode.

The builders of this island have therefore arrived in droves and from all horizons to work for its development, its modernization, in support of the local and Oceanian population, finally ready for their own development. This is the story of all these men who arrived in Caledonia 50 years ago. With great emotion and pride, they will tell us about their trajectories.
