This film leads us to follow in the footsteps of Father Jacques Hamel, assassinated while he was celebrating mass in his church in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray.
We discover Father Hamel as he was, with hindsight, far from the media impact and necessarily ultra-dramatized of the sordid news item that brought him out of anonymity.
Father Jacques Hamel was said to have a missionary spirit. We do want to believe it. Without doubt his mission was to give himself to others. Ours is to make sure that we never forget it.
