A masterpiece filled with a strong emotional impact, the Requiem Mass in D minor is one of the great monuments of sacred music. The Requiem Mass, composed in 1791, is Mozart’s last work. Although it is about two-thirds of the composer’s hand, it remains one of his most appreciated compositions. Many legends abound regarding this work: the mystery that surrounded the command, the chronological context, and the premature death of Mozart, made it a legendary work. Upon entry of the voices, we are under the spell of the music’s darkness.
