This documentary highlights a concept that is rarely covered by the media: art therapy. Dr. Sodji, a surgeon, has become interested in it over the years, as his knowledge of the obese patient has become more and more refined. He first noticed that obesity is a disease whose causes or consequences are very often emotional. He then observed the problem of image. The obese person avoids mirrors and cameras. This is how the doctor started a project of photo therapy.

Then he organised discussion groups. It was a real revelation: “transcended by the group effect, the obese person speaks out, speaks the truth and frees his or her suffering…”. By following this innovative approach, which in France has never been taken as far as it is today in Limousin area, we shed new light on the treatment of obesity, and we have witnessed revelations about the obese person and his or her humanity.
