Pauline Jaricot, the Plan Maker
Pauline Jaricot was born in a rich silk family in Lyon in July 1799. She decides to devote herself entirely to God after hearing a sermon that overwhelms her. While renouncing marriage, her vocation calls her to “remain in the world”.
Pauline decides to come to the aid of the Foreign Missions by founding the work of the Propagation of the Faith. Particularly touched by the fate of the working class, she created the Living Rosary, a veritable army of prayers, this work would have 2,250,000 members when she died in 1862.
