Sempe is the most famous cartoonist in France. For the last 50 year, he ignored the standard and published nearly 40 albums translated worldwide. This eternally unsatisfied student, unremitting worker never stops drawing and redrawing his sketches, stopping on every detail, in order to try and suggest, solely by the mark of raised eyebrow or a slightly ridiculous hat, the depths of our behavior. With a mix of lucid detachment and soft irony, Sempe is convinced that the only thing serious is the what is light-hearted.
