The Franco-German artist Béatrice Turquand d’Auzay made the WWI her primary subject and material of her work. In 1916, her grandfather Wilhelm fought in the German troops while André, her French grandfather, died in the trenches of the Somme. Almost a century later, thanks to her work and the transmission of her art and history, the artist gives body and soul to the missing soldiers of the war.
