Summer, 1944
Between the spring and the summer of 1944, France after four years of occupation, is freed. “Summer , 1944” relates the story of those 4 decisive months where the French shifted from a dictatorship to regained freedom. Following the traces of military operations and the behavior of the people, this film makes the spirit of the Liberation come alive once again, though laughter, tears, pain and celebration. It is based on archives unpublished and in color.
